This is truly a thing of wonder. Nevermind all your ceramic this and lightweight that - what an external BB needs to be is well sealed and solid. The Phil XBB is machined from stainless steel and has a pair of super high quality Phil bearings running in Phil waterproof grease and sealed with the same seals that are used on underwater pumps. The sleeve is machined from alloy and polished and o ring sealed too. Not only is it awesome, it's beautiful too!
